Founder and Managing Director

Will is the founder and managing director of Rudimental Labs, and is responsible for the commercial and technical direction of the company. With a PhD in Control Systems Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Will brings deep expertise in mechatronics, thermodynamics, and instrumentation systems to every project.

Will’s career spans diverse industries, including energy, robotics, waste, weather monitoring, compressed air systems, and commercial HVAC. His broad skill set, ranging from control and instrumentation to engineering modelling, enables him to lead the delivery of complex projects across an array of industries and domains.

Whether designing bespoke experimental rigs for researchers, creating prototypes for startups, or developing modelling tools for technology companies, Will’s innovative approach combines advanced R&D with practical engineering to turn ambitious ideas into reality. Known for his ability to bridge the gap between technical precision and creative problem-solving, Will guides the Rudimental Labs’ team to produce solutions are both technically robust and economically viable.
